Minneapolis - The Club & Music Scene

The Warehouse District has always been considered the heart of Minneapolis nightlife, but Block E, bordered by 6th and 7th streets and by Hennepin and 1st avenues, has its fair share of dining and dancing. First Avenue, 701 1st Ave. N. (tel. 612/338-8388; www.first-avenue.com), is where Prince got his start (Purple Rain was filmed here). Connected to it is 7th Street Entry, a small, loud venue for local music.

House panel OKs 4 a.m. bar close for GOP convention

You might wonder how this applies to the Air Medical Transport Conference in Minneapolis October 20-22. Well perhaps our local air medical colleagues can convince the panel to extend this privilege from October 19 to October 23, 2008, another 5 day period that just happens to coincide with the 2008 Air Medical Transport Conference. Just a thought....
